How to setup your waiver kiosk on an Android device

Setting up your waiver kiosk in an Android device is very simple.

Android devices have a built-in feature called App Pinning, that locks your phone or tablet to one app (or a specific screen/page inside an app) until you unpin it with your device’s PIN, pattern, or password.1. Add your waiver to your device as an App
  1. Open Chrome → paste the Kiosk Link of your waiver
    1. The Kiosk Link is found in the Share Tab of your waiver's settings.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu → Add to Home screen (or Install app for full-screen PWA).
  3. Tap Add.
2. Set-up App Pinning (One-Time)
  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Security (or Security & privacy).
  3. Scroll to More security settings (or AdvancedApp pinning / Screen pinning / Pin app).
    • Use the search bar at the top of Settings and type “pinning” or “pin app” if you can’t find it.
  4. Turn on App pinning (or Use app pinning).
  5. (Recommended) Turn on Ask for unlock pattern/PIN/password before unpinning — this forces your device’s screen lock to exit.
Note: Exact menu names vary slightly by brand (Pixel uses Google’s wording; Samsung calls it “Pin app”; other makers may differ).

3. Pin Your Waiver
  1. Open your waiver's Kiosk URL from the icon previously saved.
  2. Open the Recents overview:
    • Gesture navigation: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold.
    • 3-button navigation: Tap the Recents button (three lines or square).
  3. Tap the app icon at the top of the app preview card.
  4. Tap Pin or Pin this app.
The device is now locked to that single screen.

4. Unpin / Exit
  • Swipe up from the bottom and hold (or use your device’s unpin gesture).
  • Enter your PIN, pattern, or password (if you enabled the option).
  • The app is unpinned and you return to the home screen.
That's it!
